Key Competencies

At Coreline Fibre, we recognise several competencies as critical components for success in our industry. These competencies cover various areas, including survey, civils, splicing/cabling, and MEWP operation.

  • Perform a safe PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) Pole Survey
  • Overhead Safety
  • Pole Checking and Joint User Poles
  • Gas Testing and Cover Lifting
  • Signing, Lighting and Guarding
  • Duct Laying
  • Excavation and preparation of the opening
  • Install a CP overhead cable in line with current PIA terms and conditions
  • Operate mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs)

The accreditation process assesses learners’ knowledge, skills, and understanding of the potential dangers associated with working in the telecommunications sector. It also evaluates their proficiency in implementing the required safety precautions.
