Our services include:

  • Planning and design
  • Test rod and roping
  • Build and civil services
  • Installation of overhead and underground cable
  • Fibre splicing
  • Testing and commissioning

SERVICES WE OFFER

Coreline Fibre offers the installation of underground and overhead fibre networks to support our customer's requirements to build reliable FTTH services.

To ensure we continuously maintain a high delivery performance and high standards we use Internal teams as well as outsourced build partners for our delivery.

Our civil teams are able to deliver the build phase of the network using PIA and various trenching and excavation methods while our fibre engineers ensure underground and overhead fibre blowing and splicing is always of the highest standards.

NETWORK PLANNING

Coreline Fibre specialises in the planning and design of fibre-optic networks for telecom operators.

We understand the importance of seamless network infrastructure and offer a comprehensive range of services to meet our client's needs. Our expert planners have a wealth of experience, which they bring to each new project. We thoroughly examine the requirements and create meticulous designs that include a bill of quantity as well as measures for mitigating any potential risks.

FIBRE SPLICING & FIBRE OPTIC INSTALLATION

As part of our fibre installation services, we provide OH (Overhead), UG (Underground), testing and cabinet activation from a team of highly skilled technicians, experienced in all types of fibre splicing, including fusion splicing and mechanical splicing.

Using the latest tools and equipment, you can rest assured that our splicing is of the highest quality. We also offer a range of splicing maintenance services and fibre testing solutions.

BUILD AND CIVIL SERVICES

From pole erection and trenching to horizontal drilling and cable laying - we ensure all civil services are completed to the highest standards with minimal disruption to the surrounding environment.

Coreline Fibre also takes a comprehensive approach to intrusive surveying, which involves digging test holes and taking samples to identify any potential issues. We refer to it as "look and touch" surveys which are superior to traditional surveys.

This process enables us to adjust the network and plan for more accurate cable laying with higher quality control through installation and fibre splicing with a low loss ratio (signal strength) as we check for and avoid sharp bends, unnecessary links, and blockages.

NETWORK MAINTENANCE & UPGRADES

Our maintenance and support services for fibre optic cables encompass preventative maintenance, post-fault maintenance and network upgrades.

Preventative maintenance involves proactive measures such as surveillance, testing, and control to prevent major failures in the network. It focuses on maintaining the in-service condition of the network and mitigating potential interference.

Post-fault maintenance addresses faults in transmission systems, customer operation systems, or those identified during preventative maintenance activities. It is triggered when a significant fault occurs in the network and includes surveillance, testing, and control measures to restore the network promptly.

In addition to our maintenance and support services, we also offer network upgrade solutions. Whether it's expanding network capacity, or implementing the latest fibre optic technologies.

INSTALLATION HOME & BUSINESS (FTTP)

In addition to the installation of fibre to the premises, Coreline Fibre also assists with the installation of fibre into the premises. Our goal with this service is to help Altnets secure customers as fast as possible, thereby putting them in a position to become the preferred service provider in the neighbourhoods they have invested in.

Coreline Fibre adds further value by offering home drop appointment booking, a call centre for connectivity set-up and troubleshooting and all the required skills on the ground to assist with both spliced or pre-connectorised installations. Lastly, should any civil work be required - our in-house civil construction teams are ready to assist.

All of the above can be offered as an FTK solution or as standalone services.

Coreline Fibre offers a range of fibre planning services, including access planning, wayleave permits, fibre optic planning, and transmission planning. We work with landowners to obtain permission for installing fibre cable networks and ensure that all necessary details and calculations are in place for successful implementation. Our experienced team will also make sure they cover short-haul and long-distance networks that can handle various types of data traffic.

Following the successful completion of the planning stage, we move on to fibre network design. As part of this process, we identify and assemble the essential pieces that form the customised fibre solution, such as network topology, systems communication technology and relevant equipment and services. From there, our expert engineering team with extensive knowledge in fibre optic cabling methods will ensure efficient installation with the utmost consideration towards cost-effectiveness and safety standards.

KSPs/ FAQs

A fibre optic network uses light to transmit data instead of electrical signals, resulting in faster and more reliable data transmission over longer distances. Compared to traditional copper networks, fibre optic networks are more secure, have greater bandwidth capacity, and are less susceptible to interference.

A fibre optic installation typically involves site surveys, planning, installing hardware and cabling fibre, fibre splicing and testing. It may involve installing new cabling, running conduit or constructing ducts to house existing cables.

Underground fibre optic cable installation involves putting fibre optic cables underground to protect them from damage and interference. It is often used in urban areas where overhead cables may be impractical or unsightly.

Fibre splicing involves joining two or more fibre optic cables to create a continuous connection. This is an essential part of any fibre optic network installation to ensure that data can be transmitted more reliably and efficiently over long distances.

FTTB (Fibre to the Building), FTTO (Fibre to the Office), and FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) are all different types of fibre optic network installations. FTTB involves connecting fibre optic cables to a building's communications room, while FTTO involves connecting to individual offices. FTTP involves running fibre optic cables directly to individual premises, such as homes or businesses.
